If it were up to Lucas, he'd keep it without power. But the other people here came from worlds with electricity and technology... and he had learned, too, that just because it changed the way people lived didn't mean it was bad. It was up to people to see how they would use those changes for the better...

"I was always a little afraid, you know... about going home." He glances down. "I wanted to, a lot, but at the same time... leaving all of you behind would have been... really hard."

Returning his gaze back towards Dakki, he smiles. "I'll keep sheep here. And... grow some crops, too. We need fresh food to survive, right? It will be just like at home..."

"I think I felt the same way. I wanted to go home, but that would mean leaving all of this behind, too.... there's a lot here that I don't want to leave behind."

Her gaze averted for a moment, as she thought about some of those people that made staying worthwhile. But Lucas understood. She didn't need to elaborate. And there was farm talk to be had...

"Sheep! Aah... those're the... are they the fluffy ones? Or the ones with the horns, who go around eating everything? I don't remember."

"...Huh?" Lucas blinks at Dakki for a few moments before he recalls what she had told him once about the state of things back where she had come from. "Oh! Yes. Sheep are... They're the fluffy ones with a lot of wool. ...They're not very smart, either, so they don't mind too much if you hug them."

Noting Lucas's confusion, Dakki is quick to try and explain herself. "We don't have animals like that where I come from. I've visited koltova farms, and chased wild ollaka, but... ah! So they are the fluffy ones! I remembered!" She seems very proud of this. And delighted at the prospect of getting to hug one. "I'll have to, then, once there are some to hug."

It's Lucas's turn to be confused now.

"Oh, there are different animals entirely where you come from? ...Maybe you can make a few of those, too! What are koltova and ollaka like?"

"Yes! Different animals entirely! I think kakwane are called 'frogs' here, and rappies are an awful lot like 'chickens', but we don't usually eat them..."

Dakki seems more than happy to hold forth on the subject, though.

"Koltova are big and stubby-legged and they have thick, tough skins. They can be quite friendly! But a stampede of them can be very dangerous. Ollaka are very similar, but... bumpier, and grumpier. They're native to Neudaiz, though. I... I suppose I could make some. I don't know a thing about taking care of either of them, though."

"Oh...!"

Lucas pauses.

"Um. If you'd like to try to introduce any to this place... I'd be happy to try and take care of them with you! They can't be too much different from bulls and that kind of thing, right?"

"I.... guess they couldn't be that different. And they're herbivores. There's plenty of grass. Hopefully nothing that would make them sick..."

She still doesn't seem entirely certain, but Lucas's enthusiasm is tempting, and a bit contagious.

"I suppose we can give it a try! I just want to make sure that we'd tend to them properly. I don't want to be an irresponsible farmer."
