[She walks, and sometimes teleports around the new area. Exploring, looking for people she knows. Just trying to get her thoughts in order about the whole situation.]

[Eventually she stops in front of an empty house and sits down on the steps. Using her new powers, she creates a piece of paper and begins to fold it into a crane.]

[As she folds the paper, she is joined on the steps by Slugger who looks to the house behind them.]

At the Shopping District

[It's really eerie, going through familiar streets now in ruin. He leans against one of the empty shop displays, staring out into the distance. There's a chirp, as his MP3 player indicates that the battery is low. As he checks it, he concentrates and produces an extra battery, just close enough to the one inside. A quick change and he's back to the music.]

[ And there's a magical girl running up to you now! Fully transformed, since she is still doing rounds to check up on the town. ]

[Hajime wanders the town, just... looking. It's been a confusing few weeks. Mostly, he's looking for water. Something comforting.]

"Hajime!"

Ukraine sees him and runs over.

"There you are."

Outskirts

He had wandered around all of this new town. At some point or another, he had lost his friends - purposefully, perhaps, as he comes to a halt in the undeveloped region on the outskirts of town. There is nothing of interest here... Weeds and insects and the occasional squirrel or lizard crawling its way through the landscape.

Lucas sits and waits. ...He lies back on the ground and gazes upwards at the peacefully shining sun. For a good half-hour, he lies, motionless....

Until the sound of... something in the distance reaches his ears.

He sits up. ...A smile comes to his face as he recognizes the sound as that of barking.

"Boney! Over here!"

From the woods in the distance bursts a beloved friend he hadn't seen in almost three years - Lucas holds his arms out wide as the chocolate lab rushes towards him, barking excitedly. ...He had not, of course, recreated the pet he had owned back home. It would be too cruel to make such an intelligent dog leave behind everything they had gone through, everything their family had suffered. ...But a substitute was close enough.

"I'm going to make our new farm here...! This will be our home now... It's a nice place, isn't it? It's... peaceful."

They sit together quietly until the sun sets.

Re: Outskirts

[Henry has come wandering to the outskirts, wondering still on what to do about the communications thing.

But, when he see's his friend, the one who had made the right choice on bringing everyone back sitting off in the field with his dog. Well, Henry can't help but come over. He approaches Lucas before sitting down beside him looking out over the horizon.

He's silent for a few moments before he looks to Lucas.]

Thanks again, for helping me open that building.

Hospital

[Date's looking through the materials in the hospital and with a sigh, tosses a couple into the trash.] A lot of this stuff is pretty bad. Well, time to get things up to par.

[The first thing he needed to do was complete the facilities. It would probably take all of his power but he stood there and concentrated. Slowly, the half-finished building began to repair itself...]

[ There is a trickle of power added to his, extending the amount that can be built today. ]

Homes

[ Madoka had done her rounds. Checking out the entire town as best that she could. It was eerie in some ways, but refreshing in others... mostly refreshing, actually.

She now stands at one of the streets, facing it with a steady expression. There was no turning back for her at home anyway. She doesn't have a family to return to. Her friends are safe there, and she believes in 'herself' to keep it that way. For now, she takes off her white gloves and makes them disappear in a puff of pink sparkles. ]

Well then. These lawns won't weed themselves! This neighborhood needs a bit of work. [ Madoka Magica takes a deep breath and smiles, then heads to the first house on the street and kneels in the weedy garden. She'll set to work weeding now! ]

[Hey there, best biffle. Look who else came through to the new town and has found a new reserve of strength and enthusiasm!]

[Dainn is hiding under a tree, sitting down among the weeds. he seems...fairly content with life (or as much of a life as a vampire has) and is even humming tunelessly to himself.

for a second he thinks - maybe this was fine, still a copy but not technically dead - and a small smile appears on his face.]

Maybe. What do you think, sisters?

Um... Are you talking to someone, sir?

[ Have a curse goddess stepping up behind you. She just got back from some dropped!droning and is trying to get up to speed with her surroundings.

After asking her question, Hina turns her head to try to spot whoever he was mumbling to. No luck. Hm. ]

I thought I would be able to see spirits...

[Hayate had gotten the rest she needed, and now it was time to set to work. Flipping through the fully restored Tome of Azure Sky, she aimed at the house that they had all staked out as their home. Chanting began as she started to carefully do some precise work. The fun thing about her book was that there was literally thousands of spells in it, and some of them ranged into the most mundane of tasks such as repair. Slowly, the house began to pull itself together.]

Oogh this is tougher than I thought...

[The Lone Wanderer is not alone as she walks through the town. A dog walks next to her as they scout out the area. She also seems to be talking to it.]

Okay Dogmeat, we'll get a place to live set up first. One of these houses should be a good place to set up camp. I'm thinking part vault and part wasteland inside. What do you think?

[Karkat will be wandering around town, scribbling down notes.

His expression looks serious, but somehow much less burdened than he has in the past. He isn't angry or upset, just focused.]

Homes

[Sasami felt all... tingly... inside. Almost sort of like the power she had when she was bonded to the goddess Tsunami. But, that was in the past. She doesn't have that connection anymore and frankly, doesn't want it, either. She'll forge her own path with her new family.

She was currently standing at the house they - "they" being herself, Hayate and her new "sisters" Nozomi and Rin - chose, looking over at its half-completed state. Without a roof, it looked like it could fit in a second floor...

Which she would soon grant. Tiresome, especially for a young kid as her, but the home now sported a second floor similar to the one on the Masaki home back home.]

...WHEW! That... took a lot out of me. I don't want to add more in case mom and the others want their own additions...

["Mom". What an odd thing to think of Hayate now...]

Vaguely Restaurant-like Building

[ Ilsa has been canvassing the town, checking to see how many changes they're going to need to make to the map, when she comes across a building with roughly the same layout as the diner in Mayfield. ]

This is going to take a lot of work... but we are going to need to eat.

[ She starts going over the building carefully, with little flashes of blue lights going off around her. Some are measuring, some seem to be testing the structure or elements of the building. ]

Looking for Friends

[Ako was feeling mighty better the next day, and she was looking for her friends in particular. People she knew had returned, but there was someone on her mind. Someone she hadn't gotten a chance to talk to before the end of the simulation hell that was Mayfield.

But first she had to find her. Her Fairy Tones buzzed around, greeting people who would listen as well.]

Looking for Akos

[ Tpp tpp tpp.

Ako might hear the sound of footsteps behind her. A happy pace made faster and faster as Vivio gets more and more impatient. She's never had such a good reason to sprint before. And she's probably never had a better friend to hug from behind when she catches up. ]

Ako-chan! There you are!

Pond

[Loosha lies down by the pond, looking curiously into the murky waters. She feels like there's something she can do about this ... the power is in her flippers. She already used some of it up to heal her chemical burns from mowing through hazmats on the way over. But the least she can do is clean it.]

Waaaay....

[she wades in slightly, and the water appears to purify around her and spread outward. She's not sure how much she can clear it up, but it'll be more beautiful when it does, right? It'd be nice if the park could be like the golden garden someday. So she thinks.]

Pond

Loosha! Loosha, over here!

[And Luke's on the edge of the pond, waving at her excitedly.]

Church

[Off to the side somewhere, nowhere near the main altar and set aside on the floor next to a wall, stands a small stone trinket. It's barely a foot tall, and has a rippling blue crystal backdrop. Standing on one end of the stand is a feminine figure wielding a staff, and on the other sits a masculine figure holding a sword.

Most people likely never have seen such a work of art. If they do come upon it though, they might find this written on the stand:

"To Zemekis & Lucille,
may you rest in peace
as we live your dream."]

[Bazett enters the Church. It is nice to see that this town offers a place of worship and solace.]

[She goes to the pews first, then the empty altars. She looks up at the single stained-glass rose window. It is not until she is ready to exit that she notices the trinket.]

[When she does walk up to it, she traces a finger along the inscription.]

...I never did know who Lucille was.

[GLaDOS walks through Mayfield, examining houses and buildings as she goes. She's quiet, watching the people run around her.

She may be keeping an eye out for a certain test ruining monster, but aside from that she's just wandering.]

[Eventually she'll pick a house and walk in. Looking at the bare walls.]

Well, it certainly needs work.

[However she somehow has the power to fix some of that. And the best part?

She knows how it works. Not totally, but since technical>magic, that makes this just a little bit better.]

[Henry's currently going around their new town trying to figure out away for everyone to communicate. The phones back in Mayfield were a good idea but he wants to try and at least make it a bit different from the place.]

Maybe if I put up phone lines it'll help out. We could have little hand held computer things and talk to each other over video sometimes...

[He's mainly talking to himself but he wouldn't mind feedback.]

Abandoned Building-soon-to-be-Power Plant

[This city was WAY too empty. And with the town still being rebuilt, it wasn't going to power themselves. With that, Dr. Eggman set about making a power plant for the town. Mostly so he could leech off of it for his soon-to-be-built fortress.]

Get a move on! This town's going to be up and running soon and we have to make sure they have power to use when the time comes!

[And as he watches his Egg Pawns and Egg Robos continue their work, he turns back to the Mecha Sonic as he continued modifying him.]

So, Sonic AND Shadow are active here, eh? Well, then, I'll just have to make sure that, when the time comes, I'll be ready for them!

Hm? Hey, looks like we're on the same wavelength. I was just on my way over to see what the electrical situation was in this place.

[He pauses and breaks out into a grin when he looks over at the Egg robos working away.] Hey, that's great! These your creation?

[ Hayate walked around the streets with a satisfied smile. There was much to be done, but everyone was working together to build this new town. It had been a long journey, but at last he could rest easy.

He was happy that the people he knew back home did not have to know the horrors of Mayfield. Wait... those memories are from the 'real' Hayate. That means that his mistress and the debt... they were not his to be burdened with. This in turn rid of the shackles that bounded him previously.

It was time to put all things aside and to shape himself to a better future. First thing to do... was find his friends or anyone that he knew before. ]

Outskirts

[Crown has been by himself...not unusual for him but he's been trying to deal with the fact that he's a fake. There was no point in Zemekis lying to them on his death bed, but even so, Annie had confirmed such things as true. He wasn't real and his real self was at home with the one person he cared about.

While others were slowly coming to accept this fact that they were fake but still real, Crown hadn't. He felt horrid and lifeless. He knew his heart had always been dead but being a fake? It just meant that nothing he felt was real. So he's off on the outskirts, curled in a ball. Head placed in his knees as he's trying to keep himself from sobbing out of control.

He had to remain strong now...they were all safe and this was a place to make a fresh start. But...without Cross? It might as well be nothing to him.]

[ Koharu has already worked a bit on the inside of their house but the yard needs some work. Lithuania might be somewhere around here but she's not sure and she's not very worried. She starts sweeping the path to the house with a fallen branch, frowning at the weeds and patchy grass]

Outside City Hall

[Ever since he was little - saying since he could remember wouldn't be an exaggeration - Pokey had wanted power. And through the years the reasons he had wanted power had changed, becoming more tyrannical as he grew up in Onett. In Mayfield, he had desired power in order to help those he cared about, but it didn't change the fact that trying to have power of some type, any type, was important to him.

And now he does have power. He can feel it in him. It's odd, now that he does have it; he isn't particularly hesitant to use it, just unsure what he wants to do with it first. What he wants to make first, if that's what it's for.

It didn't take too long for him to decide what he wanted to make in the end. Just a bit longer to steel himself to get ready to make it form. And to try and drown out his excitement some. In a way he doesn't understand why he's trying to drown it out; as far as Pokey is concerned he has ever right to be excited about this. But at the same time it's the first time he's ever done anything like this. It's intimidating, not that Pokey would ever admit it. But it takes him a moment before he tries to focus on it.

When he was much younger - and even just the time period right before he came to Mayfield you could say Pokey was much younger than he is now - Pokey new the exact kinds of things he would make for himself with this power. A castle made of solid gold with drapes and tapestries made out of hundred dollar bills, a monument to excess and greed that would've covered up the sun itself with how high he would build it. He'd make hoards and hoards of robots and monsters and servants who would love and praise him. He'd make himself a badass trenchcoat because it just looked cool. But with how limited his power was he couldn't make something that extravagant or grandiose here. And even if he could, Pokey wouldn't. Not here and now.

Instead what he pulls forth is a plaque. A short, stone wall like you might see outside a monument. On the plaque are several names engraved in the polished stone. There's no header above these names, but Pokey hopes the sentiment, and the reason those names are there, would be obvious to anyone. People are coming back, but not everyone has. And Pokey would like there to be a reminder of the people who haven't come home yet.

The process itself is draining, more so than Pokey had imagined. Considering the people in charge of Mayfield had seemingly torn down and built up the town again and again with ease, the act of making a simple plaque took far too much out of him. It was like every muscle had a dull ache at the moment it was finished, and alongside it was a sense of emptiness. Not of discontent or emotional emptiness, but as if Pokey had been a reserve for something, and now so much of it was gone. There was a little left, but not much. Not enough to do anything to substantial with.

Pokey reached out to touch the plaque, and smiled, taking satisfaction in how real it was. He ran his finger over some of the names, remembering the faces put to them. And hoped they might end up coming home soon.

Once upon a time a selfish little boy who never thought of anyone but himself was caught in a cage. He came in entirely alone, with nothing that had even been his. None of the possessions he had claimed and made and held on to in his selfishness for years and years. Over time many of those possessions came back to him; but what he received as well was something new to him. The boy who had been alone for so long was no longer alone. He couldn't explain it then why it was happening, and at times he still couldn't explain why it continued to be so. But with companionship, so much of his selfishness had melted away, slowly like hard ice after a frost, but melting away if slowly. Trickling away still, even now.

A selfish little boy had gone into the cage alone. When the cage was opened, what came out was a boy who had learned friendship, even if he still didn't speak it well. And he did not come out alone.

Slowly, Pokey took his hand off the plaque. Deep inside him, he could still feel a bit of that well of power he'd felt before. Feel enough to create one more thing.

Pokey looked around slowly, from side to side, to make sure no one was watching. And when he was sure no one was?

A nice, fitting trenchcoat formed over his clothes. Pokey looked at the sleeves for a moment, pulling at them to make sure they were right, before smiling widely.]

Awesome.

Center of Town

[Luke's not sure what he should use his new found power for first. And there were more important things to worry about right now - finding a place to live, deciding where he's going to go from there.

But man he really wants to try out this new power of his.

So the first thing he does is focus, and what materializes is a large table filled with as much food as Luke can come up with. Can't build on an empty stomach, right?]

[Judging from the bag of Snackoos that Ema's currently shoveling into her face, her own tests of this new ability were very similar to Luke's.]

Well, sort of. It's definitely the beginnings of one. Miku's gone and created a platform (and a microphone), it seems. Right now she's a little busy trying to fix it up so it looks more and more like a proper stage.

Badly Playing the Violin

[Sayaka spends some time just wandering around in the new town, taking in the sights and enjoying the feel of the warm sun and the cool breeze on her face. She's got a lot to think about - her life has done a complete 180 in the past few months. But even after all that's happened, there's one thing she can't quite let go.

And so, with a small serene smile on her face, she holds out her hand and conjures a violin. Taking a deep breath, she holds it under her chin and gently moves the bow across the strings. The noise is absolutely terrible, but something about it is comforting to the girl. Nodding to herself, she laughs freely for what seems like the first time in a long, long time.]
