[Grinning like an idiot, Lancer filled both glasses and handed one to Theo.]

So hey. You're a smart guy, so tell me what you think about this whole copy bullshit. I've been wondering just what kind of thoughts're going around about it.

I don't know what to think, to be honest. [He refills his glass, and swirls the whiskey around, watching it.] There's no copy of me back home. I was dead. They brought me back. I'm not a "copy" if I'm the only one.

At least, that's how I look at it for me.

Hey, makes sense to me. Beats an outlook where someone's cryin' over whether or not they're real all the time.

I'm not sure I want to be back, but I'm not sure there still anything I can do about that.

None of it makes much sense anyway. There are people here that, where I'm from, only exist in things like film or novels. Do they really exist somewhere, or did the people in charge just pull them out of fiction and make real copies of them? Damned if I know.
