[Mae is walking down the street. Only she's not alone this time. A dog is walking next to her.]

[The dog almost reminds her of Barnabas. Probably doesn't talk though.]

[Mae grins and pats the dog.]

New to this place. This is Dogmeat, he's from home, we travelled together a lot.

[She holds out a hand for Dogmeat to sniff]

Dogs make good travelling companions.

They do. I found him in an old junk yard back home a little while after I got out of the vault.

[Dogmeat sniffs her hand a bit.]

He's been with me ever since.

Destruction had a dog for a while. He gave it to Del to look after her.

[Pats Dogmeat as he walks back to her and sits down.]

My littlest sister, Delirium. The dog's been good for her.

That and... flighty is a bit of an understatement with her.

[She's an only child so she's not sure what that's like.]

Well it's good she's got company then....

Being in the incarnation of delirium comes with certain baggage. She's a good kid though.

Do you have many siblings?

Six in all. An older brother, two younger brothers, two younger sisters and... Desire.

[Just... Desire]

[Not really sure what she means by that, but nods.]

It must be interesting having a large family.

[Right now her family is ....her.]

Noisy is probably the simplest way to put it. Someone always seems to be on the verge of strangling someone else but... they're the ones who are there no matter what.

I thought my dad was like that, but he left me behind, to go save the world.

For what it's worth... you were part of that world, weren't you?

Sort of, but not really. We were in an underground vault and told that nothing outside was alive. He went to help the outside world find water and left me in the vault because he thought I'd be safe there.

.....turns out that was horribly wrong, but I guess he couldn't know that. In the end he died for his project, I almost died for his project and now I have no family and I'm banished from the vault forever.

[And severe emotional trauma from her 'adventures'.]

Of course now I'm stuck in Tranquility Lane 2.0 so I suppose that doesn't matter.
