[She's still capable of giving him a scathing, inquisitive look, more eerie, if still directed at him. Lily raises an eyebrow for the full effect.] And you're not? I could swear I heard you sobbing when he first got back.

Under control. [Remus calls from the kitchen, the dejected tone of a man oppressed if ever they'd heard one.]

I'll rather miss the drones making dinner for us.

[Sirius strolled to the adjoining walkway and tugged at the frilly pink apron string.]

I think I've just been struck with sudden deafness, as well. [Lily yells from where stands, having following Sirius instinctively as the closest human body to her to the kitchen's doorway.]

[Remus swats at Sirius' hands, and jumps at the sudden shout, brow raising minutely.]

Easy now, Lils. Can't have you passing it on to the rest of us as well.

You should see this Lils. Rems looks adorable. Like the perfect little American housewife. Now if I can convince him to go starkers my dreams will be realized.

[Remus rolls his eyes and whacks Sirius with the flat of a wooden spoon; shame there's marinara sauce on it to stain that lovely jacket of his.]

Padfoot, I shall get the newspaper if you can't behave yourself. I won't have you exposing the disabled to your debauchery.

Oh please. Blindy needs a bit of depravity in her life. We went skinny dipping once you know.

[Sirius tugged at the big bow at Remus's butt.]

[She knows the layout of the place well enough not to upturn any more chairs, settling down on the sofa, arms falling on the back on either side as she sighs dramatically. It was almost like a dream, back then.] I'm already ruined, living with the lot of you.

Well, if that's a fact, why don't we all just go around starkers? It would certainly make deliveries more interesting, wouldn't it? 'No, thank you Hodgkins, I do think I will refrain from the Marauders' home henceforth. Bunch of nudist weirdos residing there.'

[Remus swats at Sirius' hands again, lifting the lid of a pot to stare in at his pasta sauce.]

Because no one wants to see Prongs starkers. He's a right bean pole that one. Not to mention hung like a chipmunk.

[he glances back at Lily and smirks. He knows she won't believe a word of it.]

And if you wanted me to leave you alone you shouldn't have worn a frilly pink apron.

No one is going starkers! We have children in this house, if you lot have forgotten already. [Or one child, really, but Lily's going to cling to that fact, sight or not.]


...You're wearing the pink one?

[Remus casts a glare at Sirius, and turns back to stirring the pasta sauce.]

It's... pastel blue. With white polka dots.
