Says us. [He laughs a little.] Well, come on! Let's find what we need!

Come on, that's different.

[He laughs, realizing that it really isn't.]

You see anything you want?

[He picks up some stray nails that are scattered on the floor and sets them aside.]

[He's wandered farther back into the store, hopping up and down to see the shelves he's not quite tall enough for, picking up some cups and plates but leaving the toothbrushes aside -- he' snot sure if the dustiness of this place wouldn't be reflected in the healthiness of these hygiene products.]

Some stuff, yeah! Do you want the black mug or blue mug for coffee?

[foundafamily]

I'll take the black one, if you don't mind.

[He watches Czes's jumping and snickers.]

...I can get the tall shelves, if that's easier.

[Czes bites back a retort that Firo's not that tall for an adult either! But he nods, backing up to give Firo room and grabbing the mug along the way.]

Y-yeah, thank you.

[foundafamily]

Not that it wasn't to watch you.

[He laughs again as he scans the top shelves.

Something shoved off to the side catches his eye, and he reaches back to take it down and show it to Czes. It looks like a camera, though a bit more modern than what they would have seen back home.]

A camera?

Yup, that's what it looks like. Do you think we'll need it? I don't think we have a lot of things we need to take pictures for, though.

[foundafamily]

Eh, probably not. But it might be fun to keep it around, don't you think?

[He fumbles around looking for the button and points the camera at Czes.]

Waah-- I don't like pictures! Take one of yourself!

[foundafamily]

[He lowers the camera and gives Czes a pleading look.]

Aw, come on! Why not?

Because I don't! I don't look good in photos!

[foundafamily]

You're not a vampire, you know.

[He raises the camera again, finger poised over the button.]

We could hang it up in the house somewhere.

Vampires and photos have nothing to do with each other!

[He covers his face with his hands.]

Didn't the stories say they wouldn't show up on film or somethin'?

[He's seriously thinking about taking a picture of Czes right now, but then he lowers the camera again. He'll give the kid a break. And he can always try again later.]

Um... I don't know. I think vampires were pretty solid, so they probably show up.

[foundafamily]

So it's just mirrors, then?

[He shrugs and turns back to finish inspecting the shelves. He keeps the camera in his hand--the threat is not yet over, Czes.]

I think it depends. Even vampires have a whole variety to them, you know? Otherwise there wouldn't be so many different myths about them!

[He huffs and follows, eying the camera in Firo's hand suspiciously]

How many are there? All I know is Dracula and that Nosferatu guy.

Lots.

You gonna tell me about any of 'em?

[cursedtolive]

Um... not really? I don't know any of them personally but I do know there are a bunch of them. And they don't all turn to ash in sunlight or hate garlic and running water, you know? There are some that just get weaker in the sun, and some of them aren't even shaped like the humanoid vampires you'll see in books and stuff.

And then there are the humans that eat vampires?

[He blinks.]

They're not from any story. I think they might be in a story, but they're real, Firo!
