Exactly. If there's one thing everybody can agree on, it's that.

[It's so hard to believe that they're finally done with it. Or are they?]

At least I'd hope.

If there are people who don't care, then the people who do care will probably go fight them!

[He laughs.]

You can probably bet on that. But you know, everybody's probably wiped out from all that... so maybe for a little while we'll catch a break. If you could call this a break.

[He doesn't feel rested at all.

As they're walking he spots a building that looks more like a store than anything residential, sporting a large window where presumably goods would be displayed. It appears to be empty, though.]

Hey, look at that place.

I could go without a hassle like that for the next five years, honestly.

[He follows Firo's gaze to to the store. It does seem empty and even if it was stocked, it looks unlikely to have anyone working there, but it's better than nothing.]

Let's check it out!

Doesn't look like there'll be much in there... but let's see what we can find.

[He nods and quickens his pace. When they get there, he opens the door and pokes his head in. It's dark inside and it's hard for Firo to make out the details of the many objects strewn about on the floor.]

What if we find a body in here or something.

[maybe half joking]

From-from what?

[He hopes Czes is joking, but with the thought now put into his head he's nervous.]

What if they're bodies from experiments.

[firo your life is suffering]

[foundafamily]

[His nervousness comes out in his voice as agitation.]

Who the hell would be doin' experiments out here? The place looked practically abandoned!

[Which makes it all the better for doing terrible experiments...]

Firo, if you were doing something bad would you do it right in the middle of Broadway or Main Street?

[foundafamily]

Well, no... But that's still really unlikely! For all we know, nobody's been here before us except for whatever built the place!

[As he's taking a step farther in the floorboard creaks. In spite of himself, he freezes.]

So whatever built this place could still be here, right?

[Czes reaches out and tugs on Firo's pant leg, stepping in front of him.]

Can you see a light switch?

[foundafamily]

[That's a scary thought, and Firo doesn't respond. Czes could be right; at the very least they should be cautious.]

No... Let me try and find one.

[He sets his hand on Czes's shoulder for a moment, trying to gesture to him to stay put as Firo moves forward to feel with his other hand for a switch.]

Firo, if something happens to you, you won't heal.

[Stop playing the hero! Czes follows, grasping the back of Firo's shirt.]

[Czes does have a good point there, and Firo pauses as he gropes for a good response.]

If something happens to you... I won't forgive myself.

Besides, what's gonna happen here?

We don't know. That's why we've got to be careful, right? There's a light switch right there!

[But Czes isn't feeling as paranoid anymore. They've been talking for ages. If there was something there, it would've appeared by now.]

[foundafamily]

[It was right there but, embarrassingly enough, he was too nervous and preoccupied to see it.]

O-oh, right...

[If Czes doesn't do it first, he'll reach to turn it on.]

Doesn't seem like there's too much in here... You see anything important?

[Once the lights are on, he steps forward to peek around a shelf.]

Um... well, there's no one there I think. That's good, right?

[foundafamily]

[Now less reluctant to leave Czes's side, Firo steps away into the center of the room to scan it.]

Probably. Nobody skulkin' around in here could be up to anything good.

[cursedtolive]

Says us. [He laughs a little.] Well, come on! Let's find what we need!

[foundafamily]

Come on, that's different.

[He laughs, realizing that it really isn't.]

You see anything you want?

[He picks up some stray nails that are scattered on the floor and sets them aside.]

[He's wandered farther back into the store, hopping up and down to see the shelves he's not quite tall enough for, picking up some cups and plates but leaving the toothbrushes aside -- he' snot sure if the dustiness of this place wouldn't be reflected in the healthiness of these hygiene products.]

Some stuff, yeah! Do you want the black mug or blue mug for coffee?

[foundafamily]

I'll take the black one, if you don't mind.

[He watches Czes's jumping and snickers.]

...I can get the tall shelves, if that's easier.

[cursedtolive]

[Czes bites back a retort that Firo's not that tall for an adult either! But he nods, backing up to give Firo room and grabbing the mug along the way.]

Y-yeah, thank you.

[foundafamily]

Not that it wasn't to watch you.

[He laughs again as he scans the top shelves.

Something shoved off to the side catches his eye, and he reaches back to take it down and show it to Czes. It looks like a camera, though a bit more modern than what they would have seen back home.]
