I guess so. What'll we decorate the house with? Where are we gonna get any of them, anyway?

Um...

[He scratches his head thoughtfully, but he only takes a few moments to actually consider that before shrugging helplessly.]

...I don't know. Got any ideas?

I know this town as well as you do, Firo, and by that I mean not at all. I guess we can go looking?

[justdumbluck]

Sounds like that's about all we can do. I don't think I saw any places to buy furniture or anything on my way in, so maybe if we keep goin' the other direction we'll see somethin'.

We should find a way to lock up the house first, so nobody takes it.

How about we make a sign? We could put our names on it, and we might be able to find a key somewhere in this house for the doors?

That's a great idea! If this place has a garage we might be able to find some wood and paint for a sign. I can check.

I'll go with you.

You know, the garage might be empty, but I don't think we'll need a car or anything. What'll we use it for?

[justdumbluck]

[Firo nods and starts in the direction of one of the unexplored doors. He glances over his shoulder after a few steps; please don't scare him again...]

I don't think we will, this town isn't too big.

[He's tempted to suggest it as a sparring room, but knows that Czes wouldn't get a lot of use out of that.]

We could... we could make it a library, if we find books.

We're not going to need that many books, are we? I guess we could keep some in here, but...

I guess that's a good idea for now.

[justdumbluck]

Well, we won't need 'em, but I thought maybe you'd want 'em.

You got other ideas?

I'll read books if they're not boring like the ones back in that town.

How about we just put what we think will be good for that room as we find it?

[He laughs.]

Yeah, I hope this place has a better selection.

That's probably the best idea--no way to tell what we'll find out around this place.

[Looking around the room, he finds a splintered plank and picks it up carefully to inspect it.]

It doesn't have termites or anything on there, does it? [He stands on his tiptoes to peer at the board, curiously.]

[justdumbluck]

[He looks at the wood quizzically, then knocks on it a few times. When nothing falls out, he holds it down so Czes can get a better look.]

Doesn't seem like it. Think we could use this?

[cursedtolive]

[Eeew, Firo, what were you gonna do if something did fall out? Czes jumps away when he does that, leaning in cautiously right after.]

Sure! It looks usable. Now we just have to find some paint.

[justdumbluck]

[He didn't think that far ahead!]

Right...

[Firo tucks the wood under his arm, smiling as he starts poking around for paint. He peeks behind a haphazard stack of boxes and crates, finding nothing but managing to bring the whole thing down with a crash.

Just going to back away from that.]

[Of course not...]

H-hey, are you okay? Aah you made a mess!

[As Firo looks away from it, Czes goes over to pick it up and tidy it up.]

[justdumbluck]

I-I'm fine!

[Some excessively optimistic part of him had hoped that he could carry on without Czes noticing. He turns back to the mess and hurriedly tries to nudge Czes aside.]

I can clean this up! You... You keep lookin' for paint.

[cursedtolive]

[He is not blind Firo. He nudges Firo with his elbow back.]

I'll clean it so you don't knock it over again!

[justdumbluck]

I won't knock it over again! It only fell over because whoever stacked it didn't do a good job.

[He folds his arms over his chest, but relents a moment later and starts picking around the other corner of the garage.]

[cursedtolive]

Well I'll do a good job of stacking it this time. [He says while finding a good corner out of the way to put them and beginning to clean it up.]

Didja find anything?

[justdumbluck]

All right...

[He moves aside a shovel and a rake to reveal a can of paint; it's red, as shown by the trails of paint that leaked over the sides. Triumphant, he holds it up for Czes to see.]

How's this?

[Writing your name in red? Czeslaw isn't superstitious most of the time but he decides not to stop the eyebrows from rising.]

Well, it's better than nothing.

[justdumbluck]

[He notes that raised eyebrow and his enthusiasm wanes.]

What's that for?

Huh? No, I just remembered a thing, where it's not a good idea to write your name in red.

But it wasn't from America... so it's okay.
